In the early 90s, Paradigm Shift was born in Rochester, NY to bring spirit back to neo-jazz with organic, funky grooves and street-level ambiance. Bandleader Melvin Henderson, guitar, co-founder Gerry Youngman, organ, and drummer-composer Sean Jefferson still keep it raw and vibrant in an ever relevant and evolving art form. Janelle Bradshaw, trumpet, will perform selections as a special guest.
The single – MIXTAPE – a name that we hope represents our love of classic rock and harkens back to the hours we all spent sorting albums, calculating time and creating the masterpiece on a 90 minute cassette – is a band created for the sole purpose of playing the great tunes you love to hear, sing along to and dance along with.
MIXTAPE is: Jim VanArsdale – Guitars/vocals, Brad Beardsley – Keyboards/vocals,
Connie Patti – vocals/percussion, Guy Turchetti – Bass/vocals, Shelly Major – Drums/vocals.
